Wow, spring came so fast and with it the end of the school year and all the activities associated with ending the year and moving up a grade. I feel like I’ve been running at warp speed trying to prepare for the “lazy cool days of summer”. Don’t get me started on that topic as we tend to be even busier in the summer and by we, I mean me, taking them from one place to another, remembering swimsuits and towels, bats and balls, bubbles and more? I may officially apply for my chauffeur’s license by July.
Anyway, I have been taking pictures and working on getting them out into the world, more about that to come. But I wanted to share a photo or two and to thank you all for sharing your work and passions with me. It has changed my life.
When I was in Italy I felt like I had stepped on to the pages of my old History text books, and in to a world filled with incandescent art and incredible architecture.
Every where I looked, there were feasts of delights before my very eyes. I had to keep reminding myself that I was in Italy and I wasn’t dreaming. I had to do this several times throughout the trip, so thankfully, I have the pictures to remind me, I really was there!
I took so many pictures and I left thinking that I could take a million more and never properly convey the beauty, that is Italy.
Every experience reminded me that there is still so much magic to be found in my life, if I am paying attention. There are many more surprises and adventures to be had, right around the next corner, and I can’t wait.
I am filled with such gratitude that I have had this tremendous opportunity to fulfill one of my all time, top ten dreams. Thank you Beth!
We visited three different cities in Italy in ten days and they were all magical and unendingly beautiful but my favorite place by far, was Venice. Something about living on the water and making your life in and around the water, literally on top of the water, it appealed to me in every way.
Rome and Florence have their own magic but somehow I felt I knew Venice and was at home there. I felt a great sense of joy there.
So more photos of my new favorite place, Venice.

I wanted to send along the link to David’s Facebook page; DJR -photos, so everyone can enjoy looking at his photos, at their leisure.
No matter how many of us take pictures of our beloved island, Martha’s Vineyard, we each have our own artistic take on what appeals to our creative muse.
As each of us become more comfortable expressing ourselves in our own unique medium, we can use that momentum to support other burgeoning Artists and create a community that encourages all of us to reach for a greatest potential.
