Learning New Tricks…

Sometimes it takes me awhile to try the new “it,” thing that everyone is buzzing about.

Recently, I began experimenting with different photo editing apps and I have opened up a whole

new creative and varied world of retooling and rethinking my work.

I know that these apps have been around a long time and I know that I have avoided them, foolishly

thinking that they somehow jeopardized the original intent of my pictures, good or bad.

Instead I discovered the joy of learning something new and wonderful, and expanding my own horizons.

To my way of thinking, that’s a win.

So I say, yes to experimenting and exploring different ways of viewing my art.

Don’t you just love when you learn something new?

When I was in Italy I felt like I had stepped on to the pages of my old History text books, and in to a world filled with incandescent art and incredible architecture.

Every where I looked, there were feasts of delights before my very eyes. I had to keep reminding myself that I was in Italy and I wasn’t dreaming. I had to do this several times throughout the trip, so thankfully, I have the pictures to remind me, I really was there!

I took so many pictures and I left thinking that I could take a million more and never properly convey the beauty, that is Italy.

Every experience reminded me that there is still so much magic to be found in my life, if I am paying attention. There are many more surprises and adventures to be had, right around the next corner, and I can’t wait.

I am filled with such gratitude that I have had this tremendous opportunity to fulfill one of my all time, top ten dreams. Thank you Beth!
